Self-production with net metering

Offset of consumed and produced energy, known as Net Metering, is applied in several places around the globe, mainly in photovoltaic plants as it is a tool for promoting self-production and self-consumption with RES.Net Metering allows the consumer to cover a significant part of his own energy consumption while enabling him to use the network to store the energy he will produce.

The term 'net' suggests that consumer credit-charge is the difference between the energy produced and consumed over a period of time. If it produces an excess of energy, it is not lost but is accounted for a certain period of time when the final liquidation takes place. Conversely, if the consumer needs additional energy, it is guaranteed by the network.

Advantages of net metering  The possibility of zeroing the charges for the electricity consumed

  • The investment does not depend on any compensation scheme (Feed in Tariff-FIT) in order to be amortized.
  • Energy production is close to consumption (reduction of electricity transfer losses)
  • Reduction of energy dependence on fossil fuels (benefit to the National Economy)  Reduction of CO2 emissions (green technology)
  • Energy upgrading of the property due to renewable energy

Envisol guarantees the successful completion of any net metering system project independently the size.
